These are a few of my favorite things...
Okay, I would go to bat with the fact that I'm THE MOST PROUD auntie this side of the Mississippi. On September 25, my family became the proud recipients of one of the greatest gifts that God can give (besides salvation of course...). They came early - actually, very early. My brother and sister-in-law were life-flighted to Spokane, WA for the births of Madison Grace and Josie Ann. They were just so tiny when born and were hooked up to more bells and whistles that I'd ever seen with wonderful care provided by Sacred Heart's NICU staff.
4 very short months later, they cannot be considered preemies anymore! In fact, I have a sneaking suspicion they (like ALL Blaskos before them) will be put on a diet very soon.
They are laughing and smiling and are truly so full of joy. They bring more happiness to all of us than I even imagined possible.
As you'll see, they are truly beautiful and I continue to remind them that brilliance is much more important and lasting. I'm not sure if they get that reality quite yet though...
The Production...I mean...wedding

Well, it's hard to believe that any of us live to tell about the blessed day - our wedding day. It cracks me up to think about how much time and money was spent on what ended up being about a 5 hour event. I come from a history of event planning and took my own wedding on as "just another event" to plan...if only!
Here are a few photos for in the case you weren't there (which is hard to believe provided that we had about 550 guests in attendance).
Anyway...here you go. The day was December 30, 2006 and the rest is history.

The beginning
Well, where does one begin? For many of you, you've already answered this question as I am "slow" to catching up to this blog thing. A few things to know...I was born and raised right here in the northwest, I have been married for 1 year and have been the proud auntie to twin girls for about 4 months. The true home-manager is a dog named Mr. Bailey. He's just 3 years old, but in dog years you know...well, he's very mature for his age. I have been working ever since it was legal for me to work (meaning - age 16). I have a BA in Communications and a Masters in Philanthropic Studies. I love my career as a major gift fundraiser. When not traveling around the US for my job, you can find me in the kitchen with a Rachael Ray cookbook on the counter or catching up on the political situation in our nation.
I'm blessed to have a friendship with God and I'm proud to be a Republican (not that the first has much to do with the second!). I've always been a very public person with many opportunities to publicly speak about things that are important to me or for organizations that are meaningful to me.
