So, it's hardly fair that I've made it this long without mentioning my own kid - Mr. Bailey. He is my aussie shepherd and I've had him since he was just about 6 weeks old. He's truly a darling and is as smart as a whip. Gotta love this little boy. Unfortunately, he spends a ton of time at the kennel due to my travel schedule, but he doesn't mind. He's always happy to see me walk through the front door, and for that I'm thankful.

We got our first dog on Christmas Eve 2006. She's a great family pet, a Shih Tzu. She's a cuddly dog and just LOVES to be held. She needs lots of attention, which is easy when there are kids and kid friends around. My friend has a 2 year old daughter that loves to shout, "Emily, you sit down!" while she wags her finger in the dog's face. Usually she says it even when the dog is laying on the floor.

I will never forget the time I said "wow, Polly...he smells so good (if you know me, you know I detest animals) and he doesns't smell like a dog."
